3+1 WITH Simpson College

This 3+1 option allows you to earn two degrees in just four years! Each institution grants their own respective degree. The degrees will be conferred at the same time so that you don’t lose eligibility for certain forms of financial aid. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Mercy College is an accelerated curriculum that is completed following the third year of your Bachelor of Arts in Biology or Exercise Science programs at Simpson College.

The Accelerated BSN offers all required nursing coursework over five terms (one year) of intensive study, allowing you to earn your BSN and sit for your licensing exam in only 12 months! During the nursing course work, you will explore nursing content across the life span, learn about diverse acute care, and immerse yourself in community clinical settings. By the time you graduate, you’ll be prepared to assume roles involving leadership, education, research, and community health.

Students at Simpson College interested in participating in the 3+1 must also be admitted to Mercy College and satisfy program admission requirements before beginning the Accelerated BSN program at Mercy College.
