Mercy College of Health Sciences offers more than just an education — we prepare you for a successful job search after you graduate. Our Norkaitis Student Success Center helps students prepare resumes, interview for jobs, conduct a job search, and more! Upon completion of your respective degree or certification, you will be prepared for the next step in your newfound career. Thanks to our unique hospital affiliations and more than 150 clinical partners, students are exposed to a multitude of unique employment opportunities through clinical and practicum rotations. These rotations often lead to future job placement.

Employer Showcase: October 28th-November 1st
Employer Tables: Open Monday at 8AM through Friday at 10AM.
Employer Information Sessions: Employers have taken the time to record a short video about their organization. To locate their session videos, go to the Student Job Board, select the employer’s name and their video will be linked along with their career pages. We encourage students to watch these videos and feel free to follow up with employers with any questions.
Nurse Residency Sessions: Much like employer information sessions, these are recorded and paired with the employer information. Employers offering nurse residency that plan to attend the Showcase are: MercyOne, UnityPoint, University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Mary Greeley, and ChildServe. Go to the Student Job Board, select the employer’s name to view the residency session video. Mock Interviews: Any student can sign up to conduct a mock interview with either Career Services or a participating employer. Mocks are approximately 20 minutes and scheduled by-appointment to meet a student’s busy schedule. This is a great opportunity to sharpen interview skills for any position. Resume Reviews: Conducted via email and video call. Students can submit their resumes for review by a participating employer or Career Services started now until the Showcase. Employers will review resumes and provide feedback by the conclusion of the Showcase. Feedback will be delivered via email through Career Services. On-site Interviewing: Career Services has made participating employers aware that if they would like to conduct an interview with a student, they can request space on campus during the week of the Showcase to conduct interviews. This Showcase feature is sometimes helpful for our busy students and busy employers. To request space, contact Rebecca Dennis.
