COLLEGE ADMISSIONS
REQUIREMENTS
At Mercy College, we recognize students’ educational and professional experiences. Determining your admission first requires determining if you are a first-time college student or a transfer student.
First-time college students have graduated from high school and have not received nine or more credits for any coursework at a college or university post graduation.
Students who meet the first-time college student criteria must:
- Have a high school cumulative grade point average of 2.25 or higher; or
- Have an ACT composite score of 18 or higher; or
- Have completed the High School Equivalency Test (HiSet) or General Education Development (GED) certificate
TRANSFER ADMISSIONS
REQUIREMENTS
Transfer students have attended a college or university upon high school graduation and earned at least nine or more credits. Students who meet this criteria must:
- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.25 at the institution where the most recent nine or more credits hours were attempted
