DES MOINES, IOWA – (July 8, 2024) The Mercy College of Health Sciences Board of Directors recently announced new appointments to the Board’s Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Effective July 1, Joyce Lillis, RN, MSN, retired director of Mercy Home Care, will serve as Board Chair, having most recently served as Vice Chair. Previous Chair Emily McAllister, JD, will assume the role of Vice Chair. Mark Miller, CMA, CCIM, CPM, retired director of facility services and real estate at DuPont/Dow/Pioneer, will serve as Treasurer, while Linda Carter-Lewis, retired human resources manager for CDS, will be the Board’s new Secretary.

Paul Erickson, retired senior vice president of the Consumer Division at Bankers Trust Company, who most recently served as Board Secretary and Treasurer, will continue to serve on the Executive Committee.

Mercy College President Adreain Henry, OD, EdD, MBA, and Heather Campbell, JD, BSN, chief legal officer at MercyOne, will retain their roles as ex officio members.

Additionally, the Mercy College Board of Directors unanimously elected several new members to join the Board. These include Alex Broderick, CCIM, CPM, senior real estate manager at Ryan Companies; Katrina Lindsey, JD, chief legal officer for Casey’s General Stores, Inc.; Marsha McGee, JD, LLM, former president of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and current first lady of Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois; Sister Maurita Soukup, RSM, RN, MSN, PhD, health trustee and nurse consultant researcher for the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas; and Teri Wahlig, MD, MBA, chief executive officer of ChildServe. Sister Maurita Soukup, a member of the Catholic religious order of the Sisters of Mercy, has previously served on Mercy College’s Board of Directors.
