The goal of Student Health Services is to assist our students in health education and promotion services related to college health issues, such as alcohol, drugs, fitness, nutrition, disease prevention, and stress. Fostering an environment in which high priority is given to personal health and well-being supports the overall commitment of Mercy College to help students reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives.

There are a number of services provided by Student Health Services at Mercy College. Here are just a few:
- Seasonal Influenza vaccinations during scheduled flu clinics
- Medical withdrawal counseling and review
- Guidance on CastleBranch requirements
- Health information and educational resources
- Community referrals
LACTATION ROOM IS AVAILABLE ON CAMPUS
The lactation room has a sign on the door where you can indicate if the room is “In Use” or “Vacant”. The lactation room is located at: Brennan Hall, Room 126 (next to the Chapel)
ATTENDING CLINICALS SOON? REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS:
Mercy College requires all students who will attend clinicals to have the following immunizations:
- Measles [Rubeola], Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Testing, Lab Testing, or Chest X-Ray
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine

Print the Required Immunizations Form to take to your provider’s office to document your required immunizations.
Review the Clinical Requirements Resources document for suggestions on where to obtain your immunizations and/or lab titers and the associated out-of-pocket costs.
SEASONAL FLU VACCINES
Mercy College requires all students and employees to receive the flu vaccine annually.
Student Health Services offers FREE flu vaccinations to all Mercy College staff and students during flu season. You will see announcements via email and Canvas when the flu clinics are occurring!
THE MERCY CAMPUS IS TOBACCO FREE!
Mercy College and MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center are tobacco free campuses.
