Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals

Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP) represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach pre-hospital professionals how to assess and manage ill or injured children.

PEPP is a comprehensive, innovative, and highly visual course featuring case-based lectures, live-action video, hands-on skills stations, and small group scenarios.

PEPP is a two-day course that covers Emergency Medical Responder to Advanced Life Support material. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is geared toward the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The Advanced Life Support (ALS) course is geared toward the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) and Paramedic. Any health professional who is responsible for the emergency care of children may find this course beneficial.

To complete the course and obtain your certification, you must attend the entire program and score at least 80% on the written examination.

You must have access to the PEPP book below before, during, and after class. You may purchase the PEPP book by clicking on the link below.
