Program Admission Requirements

Once an applicant is admitted to the College with an acceptance status, he or she may be considered for admission to a professional program. Students may find it helpful to complete liberal arts and sciences courses at Mercy College prior to program admission.

Each degree or certificate program has admission requirements beyond those for general College admission. These are listed under program admission requirements as well as in their respective section of the academic site. Once all requirements have been satisfied, the applicant’s file is considered complete and will be given to the appropriate program chair for consideration. It is the applicant’s responsibility to complete the professional program application process by the appropriate program deadline.

The program chairs begin reviewing completed files by the program admission deadlines listed. Professional program admissions are often limited; please complete your file by the deadline to ensure review. Admission into all professional programs is competitive. Selection for admission is based on the most qualified applicants.
