AmeriCorps VISTA Opportunity

The AmeriCorps VISTA member will work in collaboration with the Mercy College Service Learning Advisory Committee and Student Affairs Office to help organize and oversee service learning initiatives and financial literacy efforts that address community-defined needs for underserved populations in the metro area.  The VISTA will identify and foster community partnerships, track service learning experiences for students, utilize creativity in promoting activities and initiatives, maintain communications, and update and coordinate financial literacy programming focusing on the needs of college students. The VISTA will organize events and activities focused on educating the campus on service learning and financial literacy.  In addition, the VISTA will help with the Iowa College AmeriCorps Program, including recruitment and training.  Mercy College of Health Sciences is located in Des Moines, Iowa.  More information can be found at the following link:

We are seeking candidates for the Dean position in our School of Nursing. Responsibilities include for providing leadership and oversight for the academic programs within the School, setting vision and a strategic plan, ensuring student learning outcomes are met and all accreditation and College policies and standards are met.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. or Ed.D in related field, Master of Science in Nursing degree, 7 years' experience in nursing administration of undergraduate and graduate programs, 3 to 5 years' experience teaching in nursing in undergraduate and graduate programs and a current and valid Iowa RN licensure.  Requisition number:  1500006978

Director, Financial Aid

The position will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and adminisering financial aid activities.  This includes monitoring programs to ensure the compliance of all federal, state, and insitutional policies and regulations.

Director, Campus Ministry

The position will be responsible for providing spiritual support for the College community and administer campus ministry needs.  The position will also teach academic courses in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and supervise the onsite Living and Learning community.

Adjunct instructors are needed to teach in the clinical environments for the Associate of Nursing program.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree in Nursing preferred) and 2 years experience as a RN. Current and valid Iowa Registered Nursing license is required.  Requisition number: 1500004258

Qualifications include a BLS certification in CPR for the Health care Worker and experience in health care delivery.
