AmeriCorps VISTA Opportunity

The AmeriCorps VISTA member will work in collaboration with the Mercy College Service Learning Advisory Committee and Student Affairs Office to help organize and oversee service learning initiatives and financial literacy efforts that address community-defined needs for underserved populations in the metro area.  The VISTA will identify and foster community partnerships, track service learning experiences for students, utilize creativity in promoting activities and initiatives, maintain communications, and update and coordinate financial literacy programming focusing on the needs of college students. The VISTA will organize events and activities focused on educating the campus on service learning and financial literacy.  In addition, the VISTA will help with the Iowa College AmeriCorps Program, including recruitment and training.  Mercy College of Health Sciences is located in Des Moines, Iowa.  More information can be found at the following link:

Online Learning and Teaching Coordinator

We are seeking candidates to serve as support for end users for our learning management system: D2L.  The position will be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving issues, training and assist faculty with web-based, web-assisted and fully online courses.  The position will serve as administrator for the system.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in instructional technology, computer science, information technology, instructional design or related field and 2 years experience with learning management system administration, set-up and configuration.  Requisition number:  1500000839.

Assistant Professor - Philosophy/Bioethics

The position will be responsible for teaching and advising students enrolled in philosophy courses.

Clinical Coordinator-Sonography-16 hours/week

We are seeking candidates for a position as Clinical Coordinator for the general sonography track of our DMS degree.  The candidate will work approximately 16 hours/week.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree; 2 year degree as a sonographer; 2 years experience working as a sonographer and credentialed in abdomen and OB. Requisition number:  1400025139.

Director, Institutional Research and Effectiveness

The Director will provide direction and leadership for institutional research and effectiveness and program accreditation.  The position will oversee the assessment office activities.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in higher education. social sciences, statistics or related field; 3+ years experience in institutional research in an institution of higher learning or similar setting; demonstrated knowledge of research methods and advanced statistical analysis techniques and knowledge of regional and progam accreditation requirements and procedures. Assistant Professor-Math/Statistics

We are seeking candidates for a full-time Math/Statistics instructor in the School of Liberal Arts & Science.  The position is a 12 month contract.

Adjunct Faculty Positions


Adjunct instructors are needed to teach in the clinical environments for the Associate of Nursing program.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2 years experience as a RN. Current and valid Iowa Registered Nursing license is required.  Requisition number: 1400021062


Adjunct instructors are needed to teach CPR, ACLS and PALS courses.

Qualifications include a BLS certification in CPR for the Health care Worker and experience in health care delivery.
